Google Universal Analytics is set to disappear on 1, July 2023
Google Analytics has long since been the best tool for tracking website traffic and marketing performance. Since 2005, Google have had various versions of the platform including Google Analytics Classic and Google Universal Analytics (GUA). However, since October 2020 the latest version available to the public is Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
On the 1st of July 2023, the new GA4 system will completely replace the current GUA. This means all data and access to the old system will be revoked. This will have a big impact on everyone with a website. Even if you are not actively tracking website activity, Analytics is always a tool that should for as long as your website is live, so you can view visitor data and activity.
